“Which of the blessings of your Lord will ye deny?” - Qur’an

At this point the mullahs moved on to the next house. But they had indulged my curiosity; so I goggled “Harun Yahaya” and checked out his website. I
check out the summary of one of his books called “The Evolution Deceit: The Scientific Collapse of Darwinism and Its Ideological Background”. You can
read it at: http://www.harunyahya.com/evolution_specialpreface.php. After spending about 30 seconds browsing the web page I have come to the
conclusion thatA) This man either knows nothing or does not understand the theory of
evolution at all
B) He makes outrageous claims with little or no research
C) Perhaps he did his research from a different version of history where Hitler
was atheist.
D) He does not know the difference between eugenics and evolution
E) He claims that believing in “Evolution” is one of the main causes of terrorism
F) This man is either clearly insane and deluded. His mind has been raped so
many times that no matter what anyone tells him he will stick to his own
web of lies and illusions about the world that he has created for himself.

So if you started counting to a billion when you were born, assuming you can get to the next number in one second, you will have counted to a billion
when you will be 31.7 years old. Seem like a long time? If you were to actually say the numbers I am pretty certain that you will die before you can count
to a billion even if you double your life span. A billion, my friends is a huge number, but 1.8 billion is larger still. It took another 2.7 billion years for those bacteria like creatures to evolve into the handsome being who wrote this article. In addition to the number of years we also take into account the number of creatures if we want to explain the wide diversity of creatures that we see today. You yourself (if you are a human being) are composed of approximately 1 trillion cells (1 000 000 000 000). Thats an incredibly huge number. Just in case you were thinking it would take you 31,700 years to count to a trillion (making the same assumption we made above). It was not only one organism that was evolving there were quintillion’s of organisms evolving at the same time (1 000 000 000 000 000 000) and these organisms were evolving over periods of billions of years.Some people do not understand evolution because they think that it is highly unlikely. But these people, in my opinion, just do not comprehend the huge numbers involved. Evolution was not likely to happen, instead evolution was bound to happen as is demonstrated by complex systems like the eye which evolved several different times separately. If any of you want to learn more about evolution I would suggest reading “Origins of species”, “The Selfish gene” and “Evolution for dummies”. Firstly, about the theory of evolution, the answer for humans is given from islam-qa:Question:
There are people who say that long ago man was a monkey and he evolved. Is this true? Is there any evidence?. Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.   This view is not correct, and the evidence for that is that Allaah has described in the Qur’aan the stages of the creation of Adam. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Verily, the likeness of ‘Eesa (Jesus) before Allaah is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: ‘Be!’ — and he was”[Aal ‘Imraan 3:59] This dust was moistened until it became sticky mud or clay that stuck to the hands. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth)”[al-Mu’minoon 23:12] “Verily, We created them of a sticky clay”[al-Saaffaat 37:12] Then it became dried (sounding) clay of altered mud. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And indeed, We created man from dried (sounding) clay of altered mud”
[al-Hijr 15:26] Then when it dried it became sounding clay like the clay of pottery. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery”[al-Rahmaan 55:14] Then Allaah moulded it into the form that He wanted and breathed into him (his) soul created by Him. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “(Remember) when your Lord said to the angels: ‘Truly, I am going to create man from clay’.So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him”[Saad 38:71-72] These are the stages through which the creation of Adam passed according to the Qur’aan. As for the stages of creation which the progeny of Adam pass through, Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth).Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman).Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So Blessed is Allaah, the Best of creators”
[al-Mu’minoon 23:12-14] With regard to the wife of Adam – Hawwa’ (Eve) – Allaah tells us that He created her from him, as He says (interpretation of the meaning): “O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and women”[al-Nisa’ 4:1]

———————————————————————————————As for the rest of the animals, Allah clearly stated in the Qur’an: Allah has created every moving (living) creature from water. Of them there are some that creep on their bellies, some that walk on two legs, and some that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Verily! Allah is Able to do all things.  
(  سورة النور  , An-Noor, Chapter #24, Verse #45)Therefore, the theory of evolution for the animals holds. Science of biology teaches us that life started with a simple cell division of a prokaryote organism, and the ayah from the Qur’an holds. However, there was a mistake when
Darwin came up with the theory that humans evolved from monkeys. The support he received for his claim however, most likely came from the discovery of fossils of skulls that were in the shape of a human/monkey found in the Earth. However, this discovery still does not support the theory of evolution when it concerns humans. In fact, this discovery reinforces the truth about the story of the people who dwelled in a township by the sea. As stated from the Qur’an, Surah Al-Araf (The Heights) Chapter 7, verses 163 to 166:  163 Ask them (O Muhammad) of the township that was by the sea, how they did break the Sabbath, how their big fish came unto them visibly upon their Sabbath day and on a day when they did not keep Sabbath came they not unto them. Thus did We try them for that they were evil-livers.164 And when a community among them said: Why preach ye to a folk whom Allah is about to destroy or punish with an awful doom, they said: In order to be free from guilt before your Lord, and that haply they may ward off (evil).165 And when they forgot that whereof they had been reminded, We rescued those who forbade wrong, and visited those who did wrong with dreadful punishment because they were evil-livers.166 So when they took pride in that which they had been forbidden, We said unto them: Be ye apes despised and loathed! 

So here, Allah has turned the disobeying people into apes as punishment for what they have done in disobedience to Allah. The discovery of those fossils skulls that were in the shape of a human monkey are proof that this story has in fact taken place and in this, Allah wants us to learn a lesson. ————————————————————————————– 

As for the creation of the universe, here is the answer from islam-qa: Question:
Is it true that Allah created the universe in 6 days?

Answer:Praise be to Allaah. Yes, Allaah created the heavens and the earth and everything in between in six days, as He says (interpretation of the meaning): “And indeed We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in six Days and nothing of fatigue touched Us”[Qaaf 50:38] This indicates that what the Jews say is false, as they said that He got tired when He created the heavens and the earth in six days, so He rested on the Sabbath. Exalted be Allaah far above what they say. More details are narrated in the Qur’aan. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Say (O Muhammad): ‘Do you verily disbelieve in Him Who created the earth in two Days? And you set up rivals (in worship) with Him? That is the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists).He placed therein (i.e. the earth) firm mountains from above it, and He blessed it, and measured therein its sustenance (for its dwellers) in four Days equal (i.e. all these four ‘days’ were equal in the length of time) for all those who ask (about its creation).Then He rose over (Istawa) towards the heaven when it was smoke, and said to it and to the earth: ‘Come both of you willingly or unwillingly.’ They both said: ‘We come willingly.’Then He completed and finished from their creation (as) seven heavens in two Days and He made in each heaven its affair. And We adorned the nearest (lowest) heaven with lamps (stars) to be an adornment as well as to guard (from the devils by using them as missiles against the devils). ———————————————–As for the essence of time, when Allah states that He has created the universe in 6 days, we should understand that this does not Monday to Saturday for us. Allah has stated in the Qur’an: 

[…]And verily, a day with your Lord is as a thousand years of what you reckon.  
(  سورة الحج  , Al-Hajj, Chapter #22, Verse #47)  Once again, we cannot count as to this measurement of time that it has been 6000 years since the universe was created. We need to understand that the essence and understanding of the Qur’an only comes when we read the Qur’an in Arabic. We cannot be sure therefore that it took 6000 years exactly that the universe was created.  We must understand that science does not conflict with Islam. How can a religion from one and only true God, Allah, have faults and conflicts with scientific discovery? The scientific discoveries should do just the opposite: reinforce Allah’s statements in the Qur’an and support Islam.
