Good manners are very important to a muslim

Good Mannerism

Manners are those aspects of an individual’s personal make-up that controls his/her personal behavior. When the Prophet was still in Makkah during the early years of his mission as Allah’s Messenger, Allah praised him for his good manners. Allah said in the Quran:

وإنك لعلى خلق عظيم} القلم}

“Verily you are upon great manners”  Quran 68:4

The importance of this rests upon the fact that good manners and Islamic theology are closely related i.e., the existence of one must lead to the existence of the other. Allah’s Messenger said:

“You will not believe until you love for your brother  the good that you love for yourself.”
This prophetic statement teaches us that our relationship with Allah cannot be right until our relationship with one another is made right. Indeed we can only be correctly related to Allah, when we are properly related to one another.

Allah’s Messenger also said:

“A man, because of his good manners, can attain the rank of the one who prays the nights and fast the days.” Abu Dawood

“The ones whom I love the most, and they will sit closest to me in the hereafter are those who have the best of manners.” At-tirmithi

“The best of you are those with the best manners.” At-tirmithi

“The heaviest thing in the believer’s scale on the Day of Judgment is good manners. Verily Allah hates the one who is vulgar, and obscene in his speech.”
At-tirmithi
